As the Managing Partner of Jama, Jalen oversees the company's strategic planning and guides its initiatives in acquisitions, development, construction, and property management.
Jalen has experience in both Capital Markets and Asset Management. Most recently Jalen worked in Asset Management for a globally recognized real estate company.  Jalen holds a Bachelor's in Business Administration (B.B.A) in Finance from Howard University in Washington, D.C., where he received several academic awards and scholarships. He also holds a Master of Professional Studies (MPRE) in Real Estate Finance and Development from Georgetown University.

Alister A. Murray Sr.

Managing Partner, Jama Companies

Alister A. Murray Sr. is a licensed contractor in multiple states and has invested in multi-family assets for over 20 years. Alister also oversees the companies strategic planning and its business initiatives.
Along with Real Estate, Alister most recently served as the Head of Government Infrastructure and Issuer Service Cloud Technology at the Bank of New York Mellon for over 15 years. Alister holds a double bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Finance from Long Island University (Brooklyn), where he was on a full scholarship as a track athlete. He also holds a Master's degree in Management from New York University and is a proud United States Army veteran.
